In Rhodes, an island known for extravagant vacation spots off the coast of Greece, the brand new Gennadi Grand Resort seeks to redefine luxury vacations.
Billing itself as a luxury, eco-friendly design hotel, it aims to “bring the outside in” with floor-to-ceiling windows and various eco-conscious design elements including a sloped green roof which helps improve the surrounding climate, and a reverse osmosis plant that provides clean and sustainable water.
The resort also boasts an ultra-modern, Mediterranean inspired architectural design. It is built seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, while still using the traditional whites and blues found in traditional Mediterranean design.
The contemporary hotel project was brought to fruition with the help of Ceramica Mayor’s Stromboli Light Series, in 75×75 format. The tile offers elegance, luxury, and the Mediterranean inspiration the resort was looking for.
The property also includes 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, as well as private and shared pools for certain guest rooms.
Ceramica Mayor’s Creta pool skimmer system and RJ67 drainage grid was chosen for the project, as it is an ideal choice for larger designs. The tiles feature straight and simple lines while blending perfectly into the Island’s landscape.
