In Mallorca, Spain, a seaside single family home was in desperate need of a total restoration. The home, now entitled UP26, was created as a response to the local market need for designer homes that were both functional and sustainable.
 

Architects, designers and engineers from the Viraje group took on this challenge and created a home that is composed of three twinned volumes whose union nucleus forms a vacuum that helps with vertical circulation. The main building material of choice was none other than ceramic tile.
 

The ground floor of the home features a garage, a guest room and a washroom. Also on the ground floor separated by an outdoor patio is a high-tech kitchen and laundry room with a clean, white palette.
 

On the second floor there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms that are visually connected to the ground floor through double heights. The Evolution Tarabé collection from Keraben was chosen to cover all the interiors of the home because of its texture and finish that creates a completely smooth, continuous and uniform surface.
 

The architects kept the relation of the outside space constant with the interior in each point of the house. This connection occurs through patios with abundant vegetation and a direct relationship of the living room area with the pool. Both the floor of the terrace and the structure of the pool itself are covered with the Terranova collection by Casainfinita, which features innovative an Anstislip Shoeless finish to avoid any kind of sliding on wet surfaces. The cream color was chosen to provide a nature light tone.
